Office makeup is completely different from a night out makeup. What happens to look good in the bathroom mirror may look strange in fluorescent lights of office.
Colors and Shades
All colors and shades are not suitable for the office environment. Some colors which can be a safe choice are the warm earthy tones, the bright ones and the matt ones.
The base for make-up office
First of all you need to prep and prime your skin. Then use toner or rose water to remove any residues of cleanser as it may block pores. Next comes a moisturizing cream suitable for your skin needs. The cleaning process, toner and moisturizer will help your skin stay healthy and soft. A healthy skin is the prerequisite for any makeup. If the face is clean and there are some points that need coverage the foundation can still be missed. Is it possible the foundation if not applied properly may seem unnatural and spotty in the office lights. If there are any specific areas that need coverage use concealer and do not forget to blend it completely.
Office Cheeks
Use warm earthy tones and shades of gold for the cheek makeup to look natural in fluorescent lights. Avoid pink shades for cheeks as your skin tone will look muddy.Women with darker skin can use browns and of course terracotta.
Eye Makeup
Bright shades such as gold, peach, rose, color of vanilla, etc. are the most suitable for office makeup. It is advisable to avoid dull colors such as gray and blue. Brown eyeliner and mascara is an excellent choice for the office to look natural. Although black eyeliner and mascara is fine. You can mix and match the two colors!
Lip Makeup
The brown color of mocha and shades of peach are the most reliable for the occasion. Lip gloss can be used but only in the center of the lips. Avoid bright and iridescent colors as beige lipstick dark and dull earth tones in fluorescent lights. If there is more heavy eye makeup, lips will be more distinctive and elegant to stay natural otherwise apply a moisturizer with some color.
Keep in mind that office makeup is done in the morning and it should be such that it looks fresh all day long. You might need little touch ups during the day.
